  • Association for University and College Counselling - part of the British Association for Counselling, publications include Advisory Service to Institutions Guide to Training Courses, Guide to Recognising Good Practice, Annual National Statistical Survey

  • British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies - includes articles & links to other organsiations & sites

  • British Association for Counselling - information on the organisation & publications, basic principles of counselling, research network, information on how to find a counsellor

  • British Association of Social Workers - including code of ethics, news, publications & many useful links

  • The British Confederation of Psychotherapists - "a linking body of psychoanalytic psychotherapy societies including those with the longest established trainings in the UK, & also some newer societies such as the Northern Ireland Association for the Study of Psychoanalysis", site includes 6 articles written for the Guardian (newspaper) in 1996

  • Couple Counselling Scotland - a confidential counselling service for people in marriage and other intimate personal relationships, site includes Frequently Asked Questions & local couple counselling services

  • Institute of Mental Health Law - UK site for information & updates on mental health law, relevant legal issues, cases & research

  • Institute of Psychiatry - the Maudsley page - also includes information & activities from the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust.   • The Who Cares Trust - works to improve children's &young people's day-to-day experience of care and to improve their prospects after care, working with young people & professionals. Site includes details of helpline, projects (including needs of disabled young people, health, lifeskills, education, preparation for employment), publications including online booklet for young people
