Student Services organisations

NANCU is the national association providing national, regional and local networking for childcare workers in colleges, universities and other associated childcare. We represent at national level, where current issues are discussed and provide feedback to our members.

Education: Our membership is unique in the special relationship its childcare has with innovative educational projects within its institutions.
NANCU aims to promote high quality, low-cost professional development, held in colleges and universities throughout the UK. Training is given by highly qualified and experienced professionals in the field.
Visits to members' facilities provide a valuable insight and exchange of ideas.

Information: NANCU's long-term objective is to create a database of information on members' childcare facilities, for members' mutual benefit in enhancing and developing nurseries and creches.
We issue a regular newsletter, written for and by members, to communicate up-to-date ideas, information and knowledge.

Practical assistance: NANCU Committee members, all childcare managers, will offer practical assistance, advice and support. We also offer advice, on a consultancy basis, in developing and managing childcare.

Membership categories:

• Full membership £30: Allows full access to all of NANCU's services; information on other members, prior knowledge of and discount to training events, attendance and voting rights at AGMs etc. and the chance to serve on committees. Open to nurseries in further and higher education. Membership fee covers all nursery workers employed at designated facility.
  
  
• Associated membership £30: As full membership but without the voting rights and service on committee. Open to any nursery facility not covered by the full membership.
  
  
• Independent membership £25: As associated but open to individuals only.
  
  
• Final terms' membership £15: Joining after April.
  
  
• Association membership £75

All membership fees are renewable on 1 August.
