Financing your study outside of the UK
- Association of Commonwealth Universities - information on courses and funding in Commonwealth countries, including scholarships and grants.
- British Council - information and funding information on international work and travel opportunities, "year between" activities and programmes, especially those with a European dimension, also information and advice for people coming to the UK.
- Careers Europe - information about working and studying in Europe on their web site, but for detailed advice, contact Careers or Educational Guidance advisers, who will contact Careers Europe on your behalf and may be able to use Careers Europe's database of information. Some libraries also subscribe to Careers Europe and will be able to access their database.
- Cultural Institutes in the UK, which are usually attached to an embassy, whose staff can advise on study opportunities and language courses in that country.
Also, contact the High Commissions or Embassies for more information about the country you wish to study in. They may know about other funds available for people studying in their country.
- eduPASS - advice for international students applying for US courses.
- EU funding Socrates-Comenius Programme- individual grants for language teacher training courses, between 1 and 4 weeks, which take place in a country where the target language is spoken and taught.
- European Choice - information on European study opportunities from the DfES.

- International Education Financial Aid (IEFA) - online database on grants, loans, scholarships for studying abroad, US site.

- NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators - includes information for advisers and for students, US organisation.
- ORSAS (Overseas Research Students Award Scheme) - for UK studies.
